Depositional Plains – Deposited by natural agents & Rise towards adjacent highlands

  1. Mainly by rivers -Active erosion in the upper course causes alluvium soil deposition
    1. Alluvium plain (North china- Hwang Ho- various crops)
    2. Flood plains
    3. Deltaic plains – (Nile delta- rice, cotton), (Ganga delta- rice, jute)
  2. Glaciers & Ice-sheets
    1. Outwash Plains- Mantle of unsorted fluvio-glacial sands & gravels (mostly  barren lands)
