Assistive Technology (AT)?
- AT is any item, piece of equipment, software program or product system that is used to increase, maintain or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities.
MoHFW–>launched the 2nd phase of “Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojna” for the underprivileged Thalassemic patients.
- Union government’s plan to distribute subsidised iron-fortified rice may do more harm than good to Adivasis, or indigenous populations, who suffer from sickle-cell anaemia and thalassemia and are genetically prone to these ailments.
